Mientras ojeaba una revista, dedicada a una marca de cosmética japonesa que está de aniversario, me sentí muy inspirada, y se me ocurrió hacer esta mini colección de lo que llamo Corazones de Oriente. Recorté algunas de las imágenes que aparecían en la revista, y me puse a ello.

Como veis, es obvio, la forma del colgante es un corazón de resina, sobre el cual puse una ilustración con la técnica de decoupage. Una vez seca, le di dos capas de barniz, lo cual las hace bastante resistentes. Los completé con flecos y abalorios, y unas cadenas doradas de unos 52 cms de largo.

As I was reading a magazine, dedicated to a Japanese cosmetics label,s anniversary, I felt very inspired, and I thought about making this mini collection which I call Hearts from the East. Y cut some pictures from the magazine, and I began to work.

As you see, it,s obvious, the shape of the pendant is a resin heart, on which I glued a picture making decoupage. Once dry, I gave two layers of varnish, which make them very resistant. I completed them with fringes, beads, and golden chains about 52 cms long.

Continuando con la bisutería, os quiero enseñar más cosas de las que hice para el mercado. Usando cristales de relojes antiguos de bolsillo, hice unos colgantes con ilustraciones de libros antiguos de zoología, con mariposas y con un título. Es una mini colección de tres colgantes, que van con una cadena dorada de unos 52 cms de largo. Se adornan con charms de abalorios para completarlos un poco más. Lo bonito de ellos es que son sencillos, para gente a quien no le guste adornarse demasiado.

Following with bijoux, I want to show you more things I did for the market. Using old pocket watches cristals, I made some pendants including illustrations from ancient zoology books, with butterflies, and a title. It,s a three pendants mini collection, completed with golden chains, about 52 cms long. They are adorned with bead charms to make them a little more completed. They,re beautiful because they are simple, made for people who don,t like to look too overcharged.

Y para terminar hoy, os traigo este anillo, hecho con una base de filigrana, en la cual coloqué una imagen de un pajarito extraido de una ilustración antigua, cubierto con resina. Es muy sencillito, pero como podeis ver, queda muy bonito puesto en el dedo.

To finish today, I have this ring, made with a fillegree base, on which I put an image of a bird taken from an old illustration, covered with resin. It is very simple, but, as you can see, it looks very beautiful worn on the finger.

Ahora os quiero mostrar bisutería que he estado haciendo, ya que tengo un mercado el próximo sábado 14 de Abril en Vigo.

Cada vez que se aproxima algún evento mi cabeza se pone a pensar en cosas nuevas. Por eso os voy a enseñar en los dos post que me quedan por poner hoy, y en los que ponga el próximo día, todo lo nuevo que tengo.

Comienzo con estos imperdibles, en plata, y en dorado viejo, a los que quise dar un toque romántico, al menos a los que tienen el pequeño Cupido. La base del colgante de la torre Eiffel está hecha con una lata de zumo de naranja. Es uno de los experimentos que hice, y que me gustó como quedó, así que lo he repetido en más cosas que vereis.

El otro imperdible, el de plata, tiene motivos de mascotas de una brujita, es decir, el buho, la rana, el gato, y unos tupis con los colores de Halloween. Ya sé que hasta Noviembre no es Halloween, pero no pude evitar hacerlo así, ji ji…

I want to show you now some bijoux I,ve been making, as I have a market next Saturday, April 14^th in Vigo.

Each time an event is coming my head starts thinking about new stuff. So that,s the reason why I,m going to show on the next two posts, and the ones I,ll post next day, all the new stuff I have.

I,ll start with these safety pin brooches, on silver metal and antique gold metal, to which I wanted to add a romantic touch, at least the ones that have the small Cupid. The base of the Eiffel tower pendant is made of an orange juice tin. This is one of the experiments I made, and I liked the result, so I repeated it on more thinkg you,ll see later.

The other safety pin brooch, the silver metal one, has motifs on a witch,s pets, that is, an owl, a frog, a cat, and a couple of tupi beads on the Halleween colours. I know it,s not Halloween until November, but I couldn,t help to do it like this, hi hi…

Tengo ahora a unas clientas satisfechas que mostraros.

La primera es Virginia, quien recibió como regalo de una amiga común estos pendientes de calaveras, que le hice en color turquesa, con detalles en dorado. Personalmente me hizo saber que le encantan y que está muy contenta con ellos.

Las chicas de la segunda foto son Sabela (Appletree DJ) y Vanessa (de La Fiesta de los Maniquíes). En el local hicieron una temática sobre gatos, y decidieron llevar cada una un par de orejitas de gato de las que hago con peluche. Quedan muy simpáticas puestas, sobre todo si la llevan chicas así de guapas.

I,ve got now some happy costumers to show you.

The first one is Virginia, who received as a gift from a common friend these skull earrings I made on turquoise colour, with touches of gold. She let me know personally that she loves them and she´s very happy with them.

The girls on the second picture are Sabela (Appletree DJ) and Vanessa (from La Fiesta de los Maniquies). At this bar they made a theme party about cats, and they decided to wear each one a cat ears headband of the ones I make using false fur. They look very nice when worn, specially if they,re worn by such pretty ladies.

Ahora os quiero enseñar algo que hice para mí.

Hace más o menos un par de veranos que tenía esta tela guardada. Es lino crudo, con un estampado de elefantes en tonos marrones, y no sabía que hacerme, hasta que se me ocurrió hacerme una falda tipo pareo que venía en una revista Burda.

Le puse forro de gasa cruda, y para darle un toque de color, bies de lino marrón en los filos (el problema de tener una piel muy blanca es que los colores claros no son los que mejor sientan y hay que darles un toque oscuro).

Espero poder ponerla pronto. El tiempo no es muy fiable.

I want to show you now something I made for me.

A couple of summers ago , more or less, I bought this fabric and had it kept. It is ivory linen, with printed elephants in shades of brown, and I didn,t know what to do, until I though about making a pareo skirt appearing on an issue of Burda magazine.

I lined it with ivory schiffon, and to add a touch of colour, brown linen bias on the edges (the problem on having a very clear skin is that light colours are no the best ones to fit and it,s necessary to add a dark touch).

I hope to wear it soon. The wheather is not very trustable.

Os quiero enseñar ahora un bolso de patchwork que hice por encargo para una querida amiga. Me dijo que quería que incluyera los colores morado, turquesa, rosa, y como podeis ver, tiene esos y muchos más.

El bolso está hecho de tela de piqué de algodón, y está acolchado. El forro es de acolchado rojo, y tiene bolsillos para la cartera y el móvil. Le puse detalles en negro, ya que consideré que era el mejor color para unificar la totalidad de los colores.

Espero que os guste (sobre todo a mi amiga…)…

I want to show you now a patchwork bag I made by commision of a dear friend. She told me she wanted it to include the colours purple, turquoise, pink, and as you see, it has those colours and even more.

The bag is made of thick cotton fabrics, and it is quilted. The lining is also quilted in red, and there are on the inside two pockets both for the wallet and the mobile phone. I put some details in black, as I considered it was the best colour to unify the totallity of all the colours.

La otra pieza que hice reciclando camisetas es esta falda tipo arlequín, en tonos negro, grises, blanco, y con un toque de rojo. Es alegre pero al mismo tiempo tiene un toque oscuro. Lleva elástico en la cintura para adaptarse, y está forrada en forro de punto negro, con una tira bordada en el filo para darle más volumen.

The other piece I made recycling t-shirts is this skirt in a harlequin style, in shades of black, grey, white, and a touch of red. It is cool but at the same time it has a touch of dark. It has an elastic waistband to fit , and it is lined with black knit lining, with embroidered cotton lace on the edge to add some volume.

Hola a todos!

Tras este lapsus de tiempo, en el que he estado haciendo cosas de todo tipo, vuelvo de nuevo, con un montón de material nuevo para enseñaros.

En los post de hoy, principalmente os quiero enseñar piezas de ropa.

Para empezar, y como vereis, he seguido reciclando camisetas de mi amiga, creando más faldas multicolor para alegrar el verano que está por llegar…

Esta falda está hecha con 10 camisetas, 2 vestidos y 1 vaquero. Está hecha a rectángulos, combinando lisos con estampados, y es una sinfonía de color. Quise ponerle encaje multicolor en la cintura para darle un toque original. Está forrada con forro de punto hasta debajo de la rodilla, para que no de mucha calor.

After this lapse of time, in which I,ve been making all kind of things, I,m back again, with a lot of new stuff to show you.

On today,s posts, I want to show you specially pieces of clothes.

To start, and as you,ll see, I kept on recycling my frind,s t-shirts, creating more multicoloured skirts to make a happy summer, which is yet to come…

This skirt is made of 10 t-shirts, 2 dresses, and a couple of jeans. It is made of rectangles, combining monocolour with printed fabrics, and it is a symphony of colour. I wanted to add multicolour lace on the waist to give an original touch. It is lined with knit lining up to below the knee, so it,s not too hot.
