Hoy os traigo un par de posts, con dos cosas muy distintas.

Para empezar, supongo que recordareis que hace unos días puse las fotos de unos complementos para un disfraz de catwoman que me habían encargado.

Pues bien, aquí podeis ver a la chica en cuestión llevándolos. Los usó en Carnaval, y por lo que sé, se quedó contenta con el resultado.

Con su permiso, os pongo esta foto para que la veais (y no daré su teléfono, ji ji…).

Today, I,m bringing a couple of posts, with two very different things.

To make a start, I guess you,ll remember that some days ago I posted the pictures of some Catwoman accesories, that I was commited to make.

Well, you can see here the girl wearing them. She wore them last Carnivals, and as far as I know, she was happy with the result.

With her permission, I,m posting this picture for you all to see her (and I won,t give her phone number, hi hi…)

Lo primero que os traigo hoy, es este conjunto, de máscara y mitones, hechos por encargo, para un disfraz de Catwoman.

La máscara está cubierta con punto de algodón, y encaje de guipur bordado con cintas, vintage. Se decora con lentejuelas negras. Los mitones son de los mismos materiales, y ajustables al brazo.

The first stuff I,m bringing today is this suit, mask and mittens, made by request, for a Catwoman dress.

The mask is covered by cotton knit, and a vintage guipour lace embroidered with ribbons. It is embellished with black sparkles. The mittens are made with the same materials, and are adjustables on the arms.

Hoy, para empezar, quiero enseñaros algo que forma parte del trabajo que estoy haciendo para Carnaval.

Es un traje de época, pero de fantasía, no puede decirse en absoluto que sea realista, pero es lo que me encargaron, y los deseos de mis clientes son órdenes para mí.

Este corsé es una de las piezas que componen un traje inspirado en la serie Águila Roja . Lleva ballenas metálicas en los frentes, en el mismo sitio que van los galones de adorno.

El traje se completa con una falda de la misma tela, y una capa de color crema.

Today, to make a start, I want to show you something that is a part of my the work I,m preparing for Carnival.

It is an era dress, but fantasy, it can,t be said at all that it,s realistic, but this is what I was commited to do, and my customer,s wishes are my command.

This corset is part of the pieces that include a dress inspired on the tv serie Águila Roja (Red Eagle, a very popular serie). It has metallic bones on the front, just below the ribbons .

The suit is completed with a skirt made of the same fabric, and a cream coloured cloak.

Tenía por aquí un par de piezas que quería usar en algo, y al ser muy concretas, se me ocurrió hacer este par de anillos.

El primero está hecho con lo que parece ser una medalla, es bastante antigua, y digo que parece que era una medalla porque tiene la señal de haber llevado una argolla para colgar de una cadena. Tiene un motivo victoriano ecuestre, y como estaba muy oscura, le di un poco de vida con una capa de metal dorado.

El segundo es un insecto. Ya sé que me ha salido un poco naif, pero se ve muy simpático puesto en el dedo. Le hice las antenitas y les coloqué en las puntas un par de tupis rosa, haciendo juego con el color del insecto.

I had around here a couple of pieces I wanted to use on something, and being something very concrete, I thought about doing a couple of rings.

The first one is made of what seems to be a medal, it very antique, and I mean it seems it was a medal because there is a mark of having had a loop to hang on a chain. There is a Victorian equestrian motif, and as it looked very dark, I gave some life to it with a layer of gold metal paint.

The second one is an insect. I know it looks a little naif, but it looks very cool when worn on the hand. I made a couple of antens and put on the tops a couple of pink tupi beads matching the colour of the insect.

Ahora es el turno de estos pendientes, a los que llamos los pendientes del bosque. Me apetecía hacer algo distinto de las piezas que suelo hacer y que son más de mi estilo, y por eso quise crear algo inspirado en el mundo vegetal.

Así que cogí unas filigranas de base, y las adorné con flores de lazo, y abalorios de varios tipos, rematando con hojas, todo en tonos marrones y verdes.

Now it,s time for these earrings, which I call the Forest Earrings. I wanted to do something different from the pieces I use to make and use to be closer to my personal style, and that,s why I wanted to create something inspired on the flora world.

So, I took a couple of filligree pieces, and adorned them with ribbon flowers, and different kind os beads, finishing with leaves, all in shades of brown and green.

Si os acordais, hace algunos días puse la primera mitad de este post. Os recuerdo que es ropa para teatro, para los estudiantes de Vigo, que representaron la Comedia del Arte Italiana.

Aquí están los personajes que faltan , en orden de fotos, Pantalone, Tartaglia, y Colombina.

La función también fue grabada en video, espero poder hacer un pequeño montaje para que les veais en acción.

Espero que os guste este trabajo. Para mí fué muy divertido, aunque un poquito estresante debido a que fueron 14 personajes, y tenía que estar listo para una fecha.

If you remember, some days ago I posted the first half of this post. I remind you it,s about stage clothes, for the students from Vigo, who performed the Italian Comedia del Arte.

Here are the characters that were left, in order of the pictures they are Pantalone, Tartaglia, and Colombina.

The play was also recorded on video, I hope to make a short clip for you to see them in action.

I hope you like this job. It was very funny for me, although a little stressing because of the fact that they were 14 characters, and the clothes might be ready for a certain date.

Aquí teneis el resultado de muchos días de trabajo. La semana pasada fui a ver la obra de teatro para la que estuve haciendo el vestuario. Es una obra de la Comedia del Arte, que fue muy divertida. Los chicos estaban muy ilusionados con hacerla, y les salió muy bien.

Esto es la primera parte. Tras las fotos, teneis las explicaciones de quien es cada personaje.

Here you have the result of many days of working. Last week I went to see the performance of the theatre play for which I was making clothes. It,s a Comedia del Arte play, it was very funny. The guys were very excited about performing, and it went very well.

This is the first part. Behind the pics, you,ll find the explanations about the characters.

CAPITANO MATATUTTO:

Es el villano de la obra, pretende casarse con la joven inocente Isabella. Al final no lo consigue…

He,s the villain of the play, he tries to marry the young and innocent Isabella. At the end, he doesn,t get it…

ZENIS:

Son un grupo de personajes sencillos y divertidos, que hacen reir mucho. Entre ellos están Arlequino, Briguella, Pulcinella, Petrolino, y Cucurucú.

They are a bunch of simple and funny characters. Some of them are Arlequino, Briguella, Pulcinella, Petrolino, and Cucurucú.

LA SIGNORA:

Es una diva por la que han pasado los años. Está casada con Pantalone, aunque quiere tener un romance con el Capitano.

She,s a diva that,s becoming old. She,s married to Pantalone, although she wants to have a romance with the Capitano.

FLAVIO & ISABELLA:

La joven pareja enamorada que van a casarse, y de pronto ven su plan arruinado por el Capitano, que quiere casarse con Isabella por dinero.

The young couple in love, who see their plan suddenly ruined because of the Capitano, who wants to marry Isabella for money.

El día de ayer estuve trabajando duramente para hacer lo que hoy os traigo… una versión mini del sombrero que lleva Johnny Depp en la película Alicia en el País de las Maravillas de Tim Burton.

Ni que decir tiene que en cuanto lo ví en fotos, mucho antes incluso que en la película, me encantó… y en cuanto tuve la oportunidad y el tiempo, decidí hacerlo.

Además, tuve la suerte de que tan pronto dije que tenía la intención de hacerlo, ya me lo compraron!

El sombrero está hecho con encaje negro, bajo en cual hay raso marrón. La decoración la componen puntadas en dorado viejo, agujas de sombrero, una pluma de pavo real, un retazo de tela de rayas, y por los bordes lleva puntadas a mano hechas a propósito, ya que el sombrero original las lleva así.

Como curiosidad, decir que el sombrero de la película es de cuero negro labrado, con dibujos en marrón. Sin embargo, el resultado usando encaje y raso ha quedado bastante bonito.

Alrededor lleva una tira de raso en rosa polvoriento, que ata por detrás, y en los extremos, lleva apliques de encaje y lentejuelas haciendo flores.

Espero que os guste… para mí ha sido un placer hacerlo.

Yesterday I was working very hard to do what I bring today… a mini version of the hat that Johnny Depp wears on the film “Alice in wonderland” by Tim burton.

Needless to say that as soon as I saw it on pictures, much before than on the film, I loved it… and as soon as I had the chance and the time, I decided to do it.

I was lucky too, that as soon as I said I had the intention to do it, it was bought!

The hat is made with black lace, over brown satin. The embellisment is composed of stitches on antique gold metallic thread, hat pins, a peacock feather, a scrap of a stripped fabric, and there are on the edges stitches made by hand on purpose, as the original hat has them too.

As a curiosity, I,ll say that the hat on the film is made of black tooled leather, with printings in brown. Anyway, the result using lace and satin is very beautiful.

There is dusty pink fabric around it, that ties on the back, and on the edges, it has lace motifs and spangles shaped as flowers.

I hope you like it… it was a pleasure for me to do it.

Hoy os traigo más telas japonesas para hacer corsés. En esta ocasión son en tonos rosados, con flores, mariposas, y son muy bonitas. Hay dos telas, una está en la primera foto, y la otra en las otras dos fotos. De esta última tela tengo dos piezas.

Ya sabeis, si quereis un corsé para una ocasión especial, estas son las telas ideales!

Today I,m bringing more Japanese fabrics to make corsets. This time the fabrics are on shades of pink, with flowers, butterflies, and they look very beautiful. There are two fabrics, one of them is on the first picture, and the other one is on the other two pictures. I,ve got two pieces from this fabric.

As you know, if you want a corset for a very special ocasión, these are the perfect fabrics!!
