Ahora quiero que veais un trabajo de restauración que he hecho recientemente.

Encontré por internet estos dos expositores para bisutería, que como podeis ver en las primeras fotos, estaban rotos. El maniquí tenía la base rota, y el de hierro necesitaba pintura, y fijarle la flor en el tope superior de la base.

Tras unas horas de trabajo conseguí darles nueva vida a ambos. El maniquí tiene un encaje nuevo, le puse una bola negra en el tope superior, el girasol tiene más color, le coloqué unas tuercas en las puntas de los colgadores, y bueno, pienso que me han quedado muy bonitos para colocarles bisutería cuando ponga un stand en algún evento.

Sobre todo me gustaron por ser antiguos. Eso para mí añade valor a una pieza.

I want to show you now a restoration job I made recently.

I found at Internet these two bijoux hangers, that, as you can see on the first pictures, were broken. The mannequin had the base broken, and the iron hanger needed some painting, and fixing the flower at the top of the base.

After some hours of work I got to give them a new life. The mannequin has new lace, I put a black ball at the top , the sunflower looks more colourful, I put some screws on the top of the hungers, and well, I think they look very beautiful to hang some bijoux on them whenever I put a stand on an event.

I like them specially for being antique. This is a fact that adds value to a piece, for me.

Esta noche os traigo el primer trabajo de restauración que he hecho. Me gusta más llamarla así que reciclaje, ya que partí de una pieza comprada en un aticuario.

La pieza es una vieja sombrilla. No sé cuantos años tendría, pero calculo que debe ser como de principios de 1900. La tela era de seda, y estaba casi toda podrida, me fue muy dificil sacar el patrón de una de las cuñas para hacerlo con tela nueva. Elegí raso elástico de color champaigne, ya que en el puño lleva negro y color caramelo, y va muy bien.

En cada cuña bordé unos motivos muy victorianos en negro, y por el borde puse encaje negro fruncido haciendo un volante.

El resultado es la sombrilla ideal para un medio luto victoriano, para usarla en un día soleado, y mantener la piel bien blanquita.

Tonight I,m bringing the first restoration job I,ve made. I prefer to call it like this rather than recycling, as I started with a piece bought on an antiques shop.

The piece is an old umbrella. I don,t know how many years old it would be, but I think it may be from the beginning of 1900. The fabric was silk, and it was almost rotten, it was very difficult to get the pattern from one slice to make a new one. I chose elastic satin in a shade of champaigne colour, because the stick is in black and candy colour, and it matches very well.

I embroidered Victorian motifs on each slice, in black colour, and added black lace ruffled on the edges.

The result is the perfect umbrella for a Victorian half mourning, to be used on a sunny day, and keep the skin perfectly white.

  Hoy he decidido enseñaros algo original, no es ninguna prenda de ropa ni bisutería, aunque está a medio camino de serlo.

Hace unos días estuve en modo laboratorio, haciendo algunos experimentos para conseguir abalorios de papel. Cogí unas revistas, corté tiras, enrollé… y voilá! Aquí teneis los resultados, con varios motivos, hechos con revistas y con páginas de enciclopedia. Un poco de barniz, y quedan estupendos.

Están a la venta, en lotes variados, uno con cada estampado. Podeis ver que he puesto una cinta métrica para que se vea el tamaño de los abalorios.

Today, I decided to show you something original, it,s not any piece of clothing or bijoux, although it,s on the halfway of being it.

Some days ago I was on mode laboratory on, doing some experiments to create paper beads. I took some magazines, I cut stripes, I rolled them… and voilá! Here you have the results, with different motifs, made with magazines and pages from encyclopedias. Some varnish, and they look great.

They are all for sale, in different packs, each one with a different motif. You can appreciate that I put the measurement tape to see the size of the beads.
